Disfigured Angels arises as an experimental poem from the horrific mixture of innocence and guilt projected onto queer people by the society around them. As such, it recounts vaguely autobiographical experiences of the type of self-rejection, which only the passing of history can manage to erase. In which case, this groundbreaking collaboration between the poet David William Parry, TV celebrity, broadcaster and author Brian J. Cano, as well as the talent agent and filmographer Daniele-Hadi Irandoost aims to introduce a new type of aesthetic trajectory into the world of Anglophone letters, whereby images of the real are set against mythological settings.
